New Report Shows Wide Variability in
Preventive Exam Costs
A new report
shows the cost of some medical preventive procedures can vary as much as
700 percent in the same area, underscoring the need for private sector
innovation as uncertainty continues to surround the Affordable Care Act.
Other
highlights include:
- The Delaware
Senate has voted to require that oral chemotherapy treatment
be covered at a rate comparable to intravenous treatment.
- A bill adopted by the
legislature in Georgia
requires issuers of individual policies to also issue child-only policies.
- The New York
legislature recessed without adopting health insurance exchange
language, but the governor is expected to fix that with an executive
order.
